Empowering Students with Real-World Skills
What We Do for Families
Tutoring Sessions – Get extra support in important subjects.
Meet & Greet with Professionals and Follow-Up Writing Projects (Ages 8-
13) – Students will interact with professionals in the community, including
entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and government officials. Students will
engage in writing projects and practice communication skills by writing thank you notes to the presenters.
Interview an Innovator (Ages 14+) – Students will interview an entrepreneur or
professional whose work aligns to their interests. The student then will do writing
assignments that are published online. They’ll learn practical writing skills, build a
digital footprint that makes them more marketable, gain career inspiration, and
grow their network! We will guide you along the way!
Writing Workshops – Excel in writing in a fun and interactive way.
Drop-In Study Hall – Take a break and drop-off your kids to learn in a different setting supported by a professionally trained and caring teacher.

involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin
About
Nicole Anselmo is a Florida certified and Montessori trained teacher with experience working in various international schooling environments. Originally from Rhode Island, Nicole graduated from Rhode Island College. Following graduation, she moved to Switzerland to work first as an au-pair for a Swiss/Danish family and then to an international school specializing in ASD ( Autism Spectrum Disorders). After returning to the US, she worked at an AMS Montessori school outside of Chapel Hill, NC. Upon moving to Florida, she taught at a Montessori school in Venice for several years before transitioning to homeschooling her two sons.
Kevin Anselmo is the author of Reframing Career Success: Picture Your Significance at Work from a Christian Perspective and is the founder of the global communications company Experiential Communications. He leads communication workshops for senior executives, academic deans and students all over the world. Previously, Kevin was Director of Public Relations for Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and prior to that managed the media relations for IMD in Switzerland. Fluent in French, Kevin lived and worked in Switzerland for eight years and in Germany for two years.
Kevin and Nicole met in Lausanne, Switzerland where they both were working at the time as young adults. They relocated to Sarasota in 2019 to raise their family and enjoy the Florida sunshine. Both are passionate about hands-on learning that prepares students for the real world. Recognizing the exponential home school growth in the area and as homeschool parents and educators themselves, they decided to launch the Sarasota Homeschool Academy. Kevin and Nicole incorporate their Christian faith and values in their teaching.
In their spare time, Kevin and Nicole enjoy traveling, reading, hiking and supporting their two boys sporting activities.
