TESTIMONIALS

"Interviewing a senior policy adviser in New Zealand was an eye-opening experience. I gained clarity about how volunteering can play a role in career development. The conversation helped me think about how I can pursue my goal to help refugee communities in the areas of health and education."

Eric Kalisa, a Southern New Hampshire University student based in Rwanda

"The Interview an Innovator course was highly valuable. I used the experience to interview the co-founder of a major US clothing retailer. This broadened my networking, communication

and career development skills. It also gave me the confidence and knowledge as to how I can work on my professional growth during these early stages of my life. I would highly recommend this course as it brings you an exciting experience that teaches you lessons and provides you connections that you will carry for the rest of your life."

Haley Panessa, International Business Major at Rollins College

"The course experience introduced me to the importance of networking. As a high schooler, I wasn’t comfortable with reaching out to someone I didn’t know and asking them for something. What I found out as I progressed through the course, however, is that connecting with professionals is no big deal. The modules really walk you through everything that students are never taught but expected to know by the time they graduate. Through the experience, I’ve also narrowed down my career interests and am more aware about about different opportunities as a result of researching different industries and organizations."

"Kevin Anselmo (founder of Global Innovators Academy) worked with over 40 of our students based in refugee camps across five different countries, bringing everyone together to learn (and learn to love!) communications and article writing. Through the program, our students learned the nuances or interpersonal communication and a plethora of much-needed 21st century digital professional skills. All of the students in the program have gained huge traction with their published articles, with many of them securing internships after the course thanks to their increased digital footprint and newly acquired networking skills. Kevin is a fantastic coach and mentor to the students, providing thorough, thoughtful and timely feedback to each student’s work. He altered his curriculum to meet our students’ unique needs and went above and beyond our set scope of work to help students publish additional articles even after the course was complete. I highly recommend this program!" Nadia Asmal, Associate Director of Livelihoods & Advocacy for the Global Education Movement at Southern New Hampshire University
